For example, to the north of Portugal, in the Minho region vernacular architecture consists of a stone construction, 2 floors, small windows, no chimneys. On the other hand, the architecture more to the south, in Alentejo, consists of a stone or rammed earth, 1 floor, small windows and high chimneys.
