Physical phenomenon that is the funtioning basis of passive sola systems (walls of big thermal inertia, that have the capacity to keep its temperature when the environment temperature changes) and active (thermal solar panels and photovoltaic). Can be defined as the process and used methods to store, immediatly, an energy quantity. Its goal is to return in another form to use later, for environmental heating or cooling inside if a building.
